Holiday Greetings from the Sunnyside Family As the holiday season fills our hearts with joy, we at Sunnyside Senior Living, along with Pete Brichka, CEO, and Melissa Brichka, Executive Director, want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! This season reminds us how truly fortunate we are to have such a wonderful community. To our residents, you are the heart of everything we do. To your families, thank you for your trust and continued support. And to our amazing staff, your dedication and compassion ensure that Sunnyside continues to be the “bright side of care.” As a small family business, it is our greatest privilege to serve you all. From our family to yours, we send warm wishes for a holiday season filled with happiness, love, and togetherness. Here’s to a New Year full of health and blessings!

With heartfelt gratitude,
Melissa and Pete Brichka

The Quadrantids Mother Nature starts the year off with a bang by putting on a cosmic fireworks show. The Quadrantids meteor shower typically runs from late December to mid-January, with the most activity taking place Jan. 3–4. It’s one of the four major annual showers that have a sharp peak, only lasting a few hours.

Visible from most of the Northern Hemisphere, the shower’s radiant—the point in the sky where the meteors appear to come from—is near the Big Dipper. If you plan to watch the Quadrantids at their peak, then grab a warm, fluffy blanket and head outside, ideally away from too many lights; wait for your eyes to adjust and then look for streaks shooting across the sky.

Sip Ginger Tea Drinking ginger tea can warm you up on a chilly day, and nutrients in the spice have been shown to boost the immune system, helping to ward off cold and flu viruses.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Tami for volunteering her wonderful petting zoo at our Harvest Fest. It truly added a special touch to the event and brought so much joy to everyone. Your generosity made the day even more spectacular!

I want to thank everyone who attended this year’s Harvest Fest. Seeing all the families come together and share in the joy of the season means the world to us at Sunnyside. Your participation and enthusiasm are what make these events so special, and we’re grateful for the memories we created together.

Thank you for being part of our Sunnyside family!
