Employee Spotlight: Jennifer Delgado

Jennifer Delgado has been part of the Sunnyside team for about three months as a caregiver. What she enjoys most about her role is taking care of our residents’ needs and working alongside such kind and welcoming people.
Outside of work, she loves playing volleyball, traveling, and spending time with her family. Some of her favorite moments are spent with her daughter, especially when they get to go to the river together. If she could travel anywhere in the world, Dubai would be at the top of her list!
At home, Jennifer has quite the little crew. She has two dogs, Luna and Cocoa, as well as two birds, Daisy and Sunny. She’s also a fan of scary movies, and when it comes to eating out, Las Casuelas is her favorite restaurant.
Someone who inspires her both personally and professionally is her mother, whom she describes as a very kind and giving person. It’s fitting that a piece of advice that has always stayed with Jennifer is simply:
“Always be kind.”
One thing that always makes her smile is seeing other people laughing. Knowing that someone is laughing and having a good time makes her happy, too.
And there’s still plenty of adventure on her bucket list! She would love to someday go ziplining or try surfing in the ocean.
We’re happy to have Jennifer as part of the Sunnyside team and look forward to getting to know her even more!
Resident Spotlight: Pierre
Pierre grew up in Palo Alto, California, where some of his favorite memories were the adventures he shared with his sister. He especially remembers going to Disneyland with her and the trips she would take him on to Santa Cruz. Family is a very important part of his life, and something that might surprise you is that he is the youngest of nine siblings!
During his working years, he worked for ADP, where he especially enjoyed helping customers and making a difference in their day.

Some of his most cherished memories are the times he spent with his wife. He fondly remembers taking her to San Francisco for dinner and a date, enjoying those special evenings together.
When it comes to food, Mexican food is his favorite—and he loves it spicy!
His advice for younger generations is simple but meaningful:
“Be patient… and then be even more patient.”
What he enjoys most about living at Sunnyside is seeing the smiles on the other residents’ faces and being part of a place that truly feels like a community.
And what makes him smile every day? The employees here at Sunnyside.
We’re grateful to have Pierre as part of our Sunnyside community and to share some of the memories and experiences that have shaped his life.

Our Sunnyside residents had a wonderful time enjoying a beautiful day at the Stanislaus County Fair! From the colorful rides and lively atmosphere to spending quality time together, it was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and great memories.
We love creating opportunities for our residents to get out, have fun, and enjoy everything our community has to offer.

Bowling is more than a game, it’s confidence, connection, and pure joy. Every cheer, every smile, and every roll down the lane is a reminder that life doesn’t stop because we grow older. Some of the sweetest memories are made when we simply get out, have fun, and enjoy one another’s company. These moments are exactly what make our Sunnyside family so special.
