If you’ve spent any time at Sunnyside, you’ve likely been greeted by the warm smile of Alma Posada. Alma has been part of the Sunnyside family for one year and is known for always offering residents a hug when they need one. What Alma enjoys most about her role is being able to clean, talk, and be around the residents. Her positive attitude and gentle presence brighten our community every day.
Alma is originally from El Salvador. In her free time, she enjoys listening to Banda music and watching romantic and mystery movies. If she could travel anywhere, she would love to return to El Salvador, where her favorite food, pupusas, also comes from. One piece of advice Alma lives by is to always be humble. She is inspired by her hardworking mother and once dreamed of becoming a forensic scientist. At the top of her bucket list is traveling to El Salvador to see her granddaughter and give her a big hug.
We are so grateful to have Alma as part of Sunnyside and appreciate the kindness she brings each day.

Our residents enjoyed a peaceful and refreshing visit to the Merced National Wildlife Refuge. Although the day was foggy, it created a calm and serene atmosphere as we were still able to see many beautiful birds and local wildlife. It was a wonderful opportunity to slow down, enjoy nature, and share meaningful moments together while taking in the sights around us.

This year’s garden has grown beautifully from the very beginning, thanks to the care and dedication Andrea and Rosemary put into planting and nurturing it from the start. Watching the plants thrive has been incredibly rewarding, and the garden is now full of healthy growth and life. Up next, we’re looking forward to pulling out the carrots and enjoying the fruits of all that hard work together.
